to use or not to you that is the question...

the Ex up valve is a part of the exhaust that Restricts teh flow through teh exhaust to increase low revs.

Is it worth using this on the R1 Engine??

my suzuki engine has a EXUAV valve in the exhaust , i have wondered this question too,

im guerssing it is shut when on idle and slowly opens up when accelrating,

god knows what it will do on idle when it is runing without this.,,..,.,.,.,. any ideas?

Smart guy
We use the same type of motors on our machines (just a little bigger though!) although the logic is different as the throttle position is placed in a set position. But I suppose it would resemble the characteristic of “step out", the machine throttles back to a safe mode if the voltage range is outside .07v to 4.75v! Also if there is a disconnection the motor as fail safe and sits at low idle. Im just getting round the logic now. interesting stuff, just a little over my head though.

Are you all just going to get the gizmo or have a go yourselves?

That's simple enough, not difficult to make if you have the parts.

Already made one, the chip was hard to find though, got it from digicorp in the states.
Mentioned it in my build diary digital potentiometer. Another mod on the 04 r1 is to jam the throttle sliders open and increase the fuel pressure.
