What a pretty looking monster, those ally door skins look good as they are Haha, what's the final colour/theme

to be ?

If I'm honest I have no idea yet, still not decided on a firm colour although the original is growing on me. Not going for anything fancy looking, just a normal ish looking mini with nice wheels and a lowered a bit.

Nice project seams to be coming along nicely! will you be running it with a T2 turbo again? . 6 x 10 wellers by far my favorite wheels  :D!! suit it perfectly. (especially in grey) looks like it will have the power and stance to match when its all done  :whistling:.

I've not run a T2 for years, have been running a GT20 since about 2009 I think but yeah I'll be using the same turbo, just about ready for a rebuild too so that's more ££ to find.

The wheels won't be staying, they're too heavy. I'm keeping my eye out for a set of 10" SSR mk2's but I know i'll never see any for sale so I'll end up getting some force copies of the mk2.

Your build thread has certainly got my attention I could learn loads here lol  ;-)  Some fantastic work gone on here too mate,

I've just purchased myself a complete Metro turbo kit as I am seriously considering going down the turbo route and so the last couple of nights I have been doing a little reading up on some of the basics, As I am completely new to this it has since made me realise, That's if I have understood it correctly that is, I need to source a different turbo as the Metro`s t3 I have isn't suitable, I don't really want to be cutting up my bulkhead if I can help it although your looks proper neat but instead try and run with a mirage or maybe one of Mattys modified manifolds so im off to do a little more reading on the subject.

Great thread mate I`ll be back in again to catch up on your build progress ;-)

Cheers dude :)

Yeah if you don't want to chop the bulkhead then you can't run the T3 or the std exhaust manifold. A Matty manifold is the way to go with a GT17 turbo (not sure which exact one as there are a few variations in that frame size but the info will be over on turbominis)

So 4 days after posting that about never finding any of those wheels, this happened...

What rear beam are you using?

Such an awesome build!

Cheers dude :)

It's a minispares aluminium rear beam, not overly impressed with it to be honest but it's lighter than the steel ones so it'll do the job.

Managed to get the car out of the garage today for a proper look at the front end before I tweak the door gaps and cut the A panels down to match the doors.

How have you bonded the fibreglass rear Valance to the boot? I want to use one too but can only think of using an adhesive.

Car looks excellent by the way!

It's not bonded on yet, my plan is to just bolt it on with the bumper bolts.

I'm toying with the idea of deseaming the car though so may end up welding a steel one in yet.

Current progress is slow due to lots of time spent at work, front end is pretty much sorted. Just some brackets to fibreglass inside the A panels to complete the hidden fixings plan.

Loving the look of this Mini. Now you just need to find the time to be able to finish it all off. I think your camera lens makes the car look a little bit longer than it actually is, especially the bonnet.

I'll be following the rest of your progress. And that is a good advert for Cradley's work.

Oh okay, I want to also deseam mine as the front has already been done, but was going to get a fibreglass valance as a temporary fix.
