How many engine steady mounts should there be on an Automatic 998 and where are they located??

the engine makes the car rattle quite a lot and cowboy is currently under my Mini repacling 2 snapped exhaust mounts ( really nice for those to go one way home yesterday leaving the exhaust hangin).

Currently he says there is one, but i think there should be at least 2 since the vibrations can get pretty bad when idling.

hope someone can help us out here since we last replaced the exhaust brackets not that long ago

Mine only had one, so i fitted an ultimate engine steady on the other side. This helped a lot.

The Mini auto only has the one steady bar from the block to the master cylinder bracket. Fitting the poly bushes to it helps a lot, as does fitting an ultimate steady as mentioned above.
