Hi All,
Does any know which terminals I need to wire to the new alternator? I removed my original alternator which has a plug and three wires that I've taken out of the plug (2 fat and one thin).
The new alternator (70 amp orig 45 amp) has three terminals:
B+
D+
W+
Can provide a pic if this helps!!!
Cheers all.

Not a straight swap Lucas alternator then? Are you sure it turns the correct way?

W+ : rev counter (usually on diesels)
B+ : Main output - normally connected directly to the positive terminal on starter solenoid. From there there should be a thick gauge cable to the positive terminal on the battery.
D+ charge light.
+ : small spade connector (if it has one) radio suppressor.
