Just stripped my clutch as i had a solid pedal and had renewed both cylinders. I undid the main centre bolt and the locking tab attached to it seemd to be inefective. Then i found the key plate had snapped into three pieces.
The clutch was replaced last jan 06. I have got it off but haven`t split it as yet. At first look it still looks in good nick.
Has anyone come accross a snapped key plate before and do you know what would have caused it.

could be it was fitted the wrong way in the key way, or its come undone and then the possibilty the flywheel is welded onto the crank
