Whats the difference between straight cut and straight cut drop sets?
How easy are they to fit?
to be honest, all I want is the s/c noise , whats the best way to go about this?

Thanks.
I did search before but couldn't find this!
Actually, this doesn't really answer my question.

Drop gears are the gears that connect the clutch to the gearbox in a Mini. Straight cut drop gears are just a set of straight cut gears like any other straight cut gears but used in the drop gear gearset.

SC drops also negate the side load which is put onto the transfer case with helical gears...

Well their not there for noise. Their there to stop side loading like what you get from the other type of drop gears. It all stems from racing were engines are help at full wack rpm for long times.
