Cool. Thanks for that. I do like the sound of 1293 but if 1275 is just s good. What other ways are ther to gain power??

You'll gain very little power just going up 18cc, if the 1275 is in good condition then it's pointless reboring it and going to the expense of new pistons. On the other hand if it's very worn then obviously it's worth reboring/new pistons.
All the usual tuning options as per normally aspirated engines apply, modified cylinder heads, cams, high lift rockers, exhausts etc
But on a Turbocharged engine it's well worth adding an intercooler, also there is huge power potential in raising the boost.
If you do not already own it i suggest you buy the book "Tuning BL's A-Series" by David Vizard. This will give you a good insight into what's involved in tuning this engine, read it, then read it again !

Phil.

... still building my turbo (998 turbo, just to be different! :P ) ...

You've gotta keep it looking really stock, and badge it as an 850. A proper sleeper!

People will take the *yellow human water* until they see you waste that Cossie :P .

Oh yea, and get some evil dumpies "pshhhft!" :P .

t2 turbo are fitted to renault 5's, people tend to use them on the a-series because they take less force to drive them, this in turn will lead to less turbo lag and a more effecient output.
