Hi,

I've just replaced the water pump on my Mini (standard '87 998) and having put it all back together, the 3 pulley wheels don't appear to line up completely straight. The alternator pulley and the crank pulley are lined up, but the fan pulley looks to be a couple of mm further away from the block (i.e. closer to the radiator), so the belt is very slightly skewed as it goes from the alternator to the fan. I don't know for sure but I don't remember it being like that before I started! The belt spins fine, the alternator spindle turns and so does the fan, so I'm wondering if, in fact, it was like this originally. Anyone know?

by the way, it's the MiniSpares one with a bypass, GWP134, found here: http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=34895

Cheers in advance,
Nick
