Is there anyway a gloss finish spray paint can be taken down to satin?

Yes, it's called Wet and dry 1500-2000grit

hahaha. no you can't. You could scotchbrite it or flat it with 3000 wet'n'dry but you'll never get an even finish. If your paint's in good nick, your best bet would be to lacquer it with satin lacquer.

Told you it was a weird question :withstupid: I need a satin finish on my inner light rims y'see but the nearest match is a gloss shade... someone told me to try misting with water while it was drying but I really didn't believe that one and you've just confirmed it.
