If you have kept the mini hubs, you'll need to use the drive flanges off the Metro Turbo (slightly modified) to space the disks right. You 'can' use the Metro hubs complete, but it throws the geometry out on a mini.

Yes the driving flange is the part the wheel is fitted to. The Metro type have wheel alignment lugs that prevent any wheels other than original Metro wheels being fitted, these need cutting off flat and flush. Preferably on a lathe.

I'm currently rebuilding my front brakes, i got told when changing to 4 pots, to use the mini uprights and just the metro caliper, could anyone confirm this for me? As when i offered up the caliper their is about 5 mill gap between the caliper mount and the upright, has anyone else come across this problem?
hi mate
did u manage to solve this prob???? i have just fitted 4 pots and ive got the same prob, enless i place 3 washers between the hub and caliper my caliper catches on my drive flange and in turn stops the wheel turning.
im sure this can not be right,if u have solved the prob please help me

Metro 4 pots are far too heavy and give no worthwhile improvement in braking for a Mini. just stick with the standard parts - in tip-top condition - and the brakes are more than adequate. Best upgrade of course is to Fiesta single pot calipers, and then you can use the proper 10" wheels!
yep true! thats exactly what ive heard stick with decent original brakes, 4 pot metro calipers effect your
steering and handling way to much.too heavy!
