Hi Charlie,

Just wondered - did anything actually go wrong with the car? because it seems from your reports that everything was AOK when you got back to Blighty.

Come on - something must have dropped off - it's a Mini!!! :grin:

Well as I wrote in the report we brokedown once due to bad fuel.

And we had to replace the engine steady bushes.

We got the new bushes off the support team but it dosnt have a metal insert so its still banging about. I need to get that sorted.

But yes surprisingly nothing has fallen off (i think).....

Oh - forgot about the fuel thingy... in my eyes that doesn't count!!

As for the banging noise - just turn the music up!!

We have some members of our local club that refuse to take their Mini's on long journeys because they might not make it - but it just goes to show with a little prep any Mini can make the distance.

By the way I went green with envy when I saw the press piccies of you guys with the Airbus, with Concorde in the back ground. They are truly smashing shots!!

Well done on completing this one - I think you have certainly inspired a lot of people.

by the way - just talking to my worse half, and we reckon we are up for next years IJ. We were going to do it a couple of years back - but a few things went wrong.. so I'm gonna send off for the details.
