I don't mind you asking mate you don't have to kiss me to win me over! :cheese:
Hmmm, price, well, about £5/litre for the primer, used about 2 litres of that, then about £2/litre for the thinner, used about 3 litres of that, then the top coat is £42/litre, and should use about 2 litres of that.
Compressor is free is its ours, but to buy would be about £500 as its a biggie, but you can get littl'uns for about £200, then you've got about £100 worth of spray gun, some air hose pretty cheap then the consumables like filters, mask, sandpaper etc, which aren't expensive.

Yeah the top coat is expensive, but its worth it for the good finish it should give.

it looks the same with another coat of primer on, just shinier!!
Got my aldon dizzy yesterday, and have spoken to Morspeed, but Simon is still waiting for s/c drops and roller rockers before he can build the engine
But hopefully the paint will arrive today so we can get it ready to put the top coat on by the weekend!

The bloody paint STILL hasn't arrived, i'm getting annoyed now, as its holding the job up, I can't do much else now until I have the car in paint. Grrr!
Anyway, last night I prepped the bonnet and bootlid for primer, and tidied up a bit to make a spraying area, and then I drilled and fitted the group 2 arches!
They were from Huddersfield Mini Spares, and haven't needed any mods to fit, only a slight amount cutting out where they fit over the seams.
I was slightly concerned they wouldn't cover the holes from the Mini Special type arches fitted to it when I first got it, but they did, just about, so thats good! Here they are fully fitted (but need to come off again so I can paint the car!)
