Hi all,

It has been suggedsted to me that the best way to remove my old and fit the new is to drive the car onto ramps and then jack up the rear and place on axle stands. Have any of you tried this method? It sounds straight forward enough - but.....

You can do it with just a jack and stands, just lift the back up and there is enough room to work at the front to get it lined up and do the u bolts up, then lift the front to fit the stabiliser bit that attaches to the gearbox.

I drove El Gordo onto a 6inch high wall and went from there. Worked lovely.
