Speeding Along Now

My starter motor is playing up, Its engages sometimes but other times it just clickes is there anything that can be done. Shall i take it off and clean it up

pre-engaged or inertia?
if pre-engaged could be a weak battery.

Take off, clean with diesel inside. Put back together. What I did on John's nova.
