Guys n gals...

Just got my shiney starmags fitted to the car finally!

Posted Image

The problem I now have is that, they did the tracking and gave me a sheet of angles:

Primary angles...

Front camber left: 0.06 degrees
Front camber right: 1.18 degrees

front toe left: -0.6 degrees
front toe right: -0.6 degrees

rear camber left: -0.12 degrees
rear camber right: 1.36 degrees

rear toe left: 6.8 degrees
rear toe right: -0.3 degrees

thrust angle: 0.35 degrees

Secondary angles...

setback front: -14mm
setback rear: 2mm

track width diff: 44mm
wheel base diff: -16mm

What the heck is going an with my wheels, they seem to be pointing all over the shop! Can somebody please shed some light on these figures for me please.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Jez

O.k. for starters, what were your wheel size and what are they now?

and having a standard suspension means nothing, the reason why this little lot is out will be due to worn components and/or wheel size if it's not standard.

I had exactly the same with mine. Most standard setups are miles off what the factory specified due to wear and knocks and bent parts. The only way to get everything set properly is to go fully ajustable.

o.k. then lets go for it...

was on standard 12's, no got 7.5 cooper s discs and flanges...

now running on 10 x 6 starmags on yoko's a008's (yeah).

would this solve the problem??

fully adjustable setup

I had replaced the nearside rear radius arm when i did a lot of work onthe car bout a month ago and it seems to be that side that is way out!! could it be a dodgy radius arm???

oooh 6x10 starmags. I can't stand star mags usually, but 10's look good.

Yeah that kit will help, but you need to do other checks such as mounts, bushes, bearings e.t.c.

DJH...

I know the rear bushes are o.k. as I replaced them bout a year ago. The rear bearings are o.k. as i had reaplced the nearside radius arm with a new one and there is no play in the offside. There is a slight wobble on front offside but nearside front is o.k. It seems that.. looking at the rear nearside that it is way out or is it me???

Mine toes in like that, but it looks a bit more excessive. and as for that wobble, definately get it changed.
