Can anyone tell me the number of teeth on the primary and motion gear so I can check I have the right set before I bolt the engine together. I beleive it is 1.1 ratio and there is no groove machined in the gear if that is clear and I have been told the idler gear is common to all ratios any help anyone. It is a 1275cc a+

As long as they are the same on both the input and primary gears it'll be 1:1 ratio, the number of teeth on the idler is irrelavent..

If it's A+ helical, then the number of teeth is 29

A series 24

SC the std 1:1 setup is 23 teeth

Thanks Guessworks, I have counted 29 teeth on each. The idler gear is shimmed and I am ready for the rebuild tomorrow.
