They're threaded, and go into the car just behind the bulkhead. Can't remember taking anything off here before rebuild.

So having hydrolastic suspension I can simply bung these up with some sticky gunky black mastic stuff then and forget about 'em....

Take another look at the 1st photo and you can see the bottom of the RH hydro unit - big rubber dust cap protecting it, bang in the centre of the photo

They didn't as standard but many people fitted them, it was considered a very worthwhile upgrade and was available from dealerships and from BL Special Tuning, along with the uprated bumpstops from an MGB.
