You need a centre clock conversion harness. Specifically the indicator repeater circuit is quite different, the easiest thing to do is get the conversion harness which then needs splicing into the existing clock connector. They are available from most Mini Specialists and many auto electrical suppliers.

thanks i see
is it hard to do
i take it that just joins the conectors that come off the back of my 3 clock display and then onto the back of the new central one with out having to chase wire through the car .

There is no female connector available for the offset 3 clock binnacle connector so they can't make one that just plugs in. You have to chop the plug off and splice the new wires onto the existing harness. AFAIK it doesnt need new wiring chased through, it's only an adaptor harness with all the many connectors for the central speedo on it. The central speedo doesn't just have one big connector you see, it's got seperate connectors for everything in it so it isn't just a plug in solution. It's simple enough to do.

bit confused just got a centre speedo and clocks off ebay. all the wireing goes back to a single 10 pin female connector. has this already been adapted to go in instead of a 3 clock or will i still need a convertion loom?

Sounds like custom wiring to me, if you can find a mating connector for the new one you have then this can be fitted to the end of your harness in place of the existing dash connector or just clip off both connectors and splice the two looms together. Got a picture of the connector?
