hi, im rebuilding my 1973 1275gt engine, the crank was knackered and im replacing it with a metro 1300 crank, does this mean i will need different main bearings, or can i use standard 1275 ones, any help is greatly appreciated, cheers.

I believe the cranks are all the same in the large bores. basically you will need to check to see if its been reground or not. No idea how you would do that mind.

need to measure the journals - regrind as neessary and get bearings to suit...

may need to file 'keyways' into the block for the later A+ style of bearings as the tang on the bearing is in a different place...

hth,
Dave
