But Barnett, you have got to be mistaken us with the french !

Most germans can write and read english!! but they dont like to do it...if you know what i mean...  stubborn...and proud!!!

Regarding to this i would say nope we aren´t stubborn and Proud ,as a matter of fact 90% of us Germs i mean Germans can speak read and write english better than some of u guys
But as Basil Fawlty used to say : Don´t mention the War

when it comes down to being patriotic we are all the same!!! " Stubborn and proud!! " and many of my German mates " I have a few!! :tongue: ) who are very stubborn and proud...like every nation!!! including the french!!

Dont get me wrong!! that was not a insult, my wife is german and she even says it true!!!! LOL as a matter of fact im LMAO!!!! :grin:


And your right in saying that your english is better!!!! my wife still corrects me on my english grammer!!!

and by the way: the members of german mini-forums (e.g. www.mini-forum.de) are capable of at least technical english, because they ride these little cars that need some haynes manual etc. :grin:

I myself am registered at minifreunde.de and found there were a very fine set of chaps, i never had a problem with speaking only English on the site,

Ive started getting germen mini drivers together...first i need to tell them whats it all about, then get them to meet me on the way!! its looking good...

Still 6 months to go!! and hopefully i will have a handful by then...or maybe more!!

i know Brian is doing well too getting minis together in the north of germany, if you read this Brian give us a ring...when you see me on line!! like normal...

Maybe we need a german guy in the south ( Baden würtemberg- bayern ) to get the word around, im in the middle ( Hessen ), so if there is anyone out there!! drop me a e mail...
