Hey peeps.

For a while my MPI has been dripping oil. It seems to be collecting around the Sump Plug. The obvious thing would be to change the Copper Washer, but just in case, I was wondering whether anything around the back of the block (or in the area) could be leaking and then running down the gearbox casing onto the Sump Plug.

well, as the gearbox is at the bottom then it could be leaking from anywhere. best bet would be to give it a clean, then trace back from the sump plug to see where the oils coming from. that is assuming you cant at the mo because theres oil everywhere anyway.

I've done that all round the front of the block, and it's either coming from the sump plug or somewhere round the back but on the left hand side. It's just that I can't really see up the back.

I've just moved into a new flat and my jack is....erm.....somewhere, so I haven't lifted Mini to have a look yet.
