I assumed it was a straight forward unscrew a couple of bolts and off it comes. but no. i cant get to the screws that hold the hinge to the door by using a screwdriver. so what do you do??

This is how i took mine off. by the way i dont think you take it off using a screwdriver.

1. Jacked the mini up
2. Took the front wheel off
3. un-did the door check strap
4. Not sure on the nut side but there are 4 nuts, when you put your arm up in the arch and behind the a-panel on the hinge panel.
5. once all 4 nuts are removed, just remove the door, be careful though because it is heaver than i expected and if you dont support it well you could easily scratch the paint.

Good luck , it shouldnt be very hard to do but make sure you remove the check strap before you undo the nuts because the first door i took off i didnt then it was a real pane to get off and i damaged my paint.
