Ive got a few sponsors, but Smudger is my main sponsor. I will be putting his website on the side of the car and on the sunstrip.

Im really excited about being team S.M.B. composites rallying.



When the new parts arrive ill fit them and post some photos.

chris...crash.....oooh dear especialy caerwent rally, its spost to be quite testing wight high curbs (arches)

lol that wasnt actualy a hint, but the 1st event he went on he smashed i think one side off then next even other side went
he also snaped a bit off one catching his mud gaurd under his wheel

hes using the mini special style ones at the moment, if your sending him some then, get in touch with him as i dont know what he would want

That is a little O/T but I think you're right.

We are looking at having a BRR race reports thing (courtesy of Jammy) so maybe we could have a little motorsport section, where people can post up their local events etc.

Matt, maybe it's worth you starting up a new thread asking for people's opinions on it? I think it's worth having something.

I try to go to as many Mini things as i can, rather than shows.

Its ok standing in a field looking at a Mini, but more fun watching em race!

I have chatted to him about his choice of wheel and arch.

At moment its 6x12" which is way way to wide for a rally car, but will send him some Gp2, Race Gp2 and some Rally Arches.

Ok, his car might be mixed on the arches front, but at least he will have em, lol

he has different wheels on each day, what u on about lol

as his car sits at the moment he has 5.5 X12 GB alloys on the rear with colway rally tyres with wellers on the front with falken tyres (i cant remember which hes actualy swapping to, its not going to have odd tyres front to rear just not got round to changing to them lol)

But they are still wide for a Mini rally car.

You want the tyre to grip and not be stretched.

the bigger arches will probably be good to be honest, there bringing new regulations about having to have mud gaurds outside the arch so stones dont get flicked even when turning, perhaps beign overarched will stop as much ( why is it almost ever car on the road is over arched and yet the mini looks so wrong over arched)

also his tyres arent streached, so should be OK

Oh, i am trying to sort out a material just for mud flaps, waiting on samples.

5.5 x 12 is still wide when you consider Rover GpA used 4.5 x 12.

I cant wait to fit my new parts, Im getting my car re-sprayed soon so I will have to look at S.M.B. colour scheme.
