MM, paint

Not far off finishing then??

When it comes time for me to paint, im going to prime the whole body in high build primer to help with the imperfections when flatting. This will be the piont I start putting it all back together. Just thinking now that I may be at BMC Showdown in a coat of primer, DOH!

Oh and the colour combination sounds mint, should go well with those carbon Miglia arches

I am hoping to get it ready for the full-on paintwork for next week, as the GF's brother has said he will help me paint it. I reckon the whole car will be finished by the end of July realistically. I need to take a good few days off work really though. Everytime I want to spend a weekend working on it, something else needs sorting out so I don't get to devote the whole time to it.

Am trying to get Thursday/Friday of this week off work to do a load of prepping. I need to strip the interior back out now I have trial fitted it all and also need to derop the subframes to get the arhces etc painted nicely.

i got 110.5bhp and 96.4 lbft out of bill richards 1380 with new tewin 1.5 su's and big engine spec and was told that 45 weber would only give max 2-3 bhp more!!!

I think it largely depends on what the engine is built for when you get into specialised engines like these. On my 1425 there was a 10-15bhp difference between the HIF44 and a 45 webber.

Well, the SHED is dead! I have been and chopped the shell up this morning, it is declared scrap, the good bits have been taken off the shell (the roof will be used on a future project, along with the front wings and front panel).

Minis hey! You think the bodywork is OK but the deeper you delve, the more historical bodges you find! Never assume that a shell is OK unless you really have got under the paint and looked at just how much filler there is!

On another note, there may be a free rear end of a mini for someone, if they want to have a go at doing a trailer...............

Bye bye shed! :w00t: :w00t:

Here's the link to the thread about my rear end! :w00t:
