I've seen some 10" x 5J wheels brand new on Ebay which apparently fit all 8.4 mini discs to give the retro look. Has any body got any info if these are OK. Search ebay Classic Mini Cooper S Style Alloy Wheel 10" X 5 J (New) (item 120130364898) Might prefer them in white or cream but seems to be a possible alternative that downgrading to smaller discs!
10" Alloys[on ebay] wheels with existing 8.4 discs - any good?

They are Japanese imports and they have a huge offset so you need sportpack arches, deafeating the entire object of fitting retro 10" steels! Minispeed import them and they cost about £50 each. They also have a nasty habit of eating balljoints and wheel bearings. If you want 10s it would be far better and cheaper to do a Fiesta conversion and get some real S rims like I did!

and if your going retro with small wheels, who wants sportspack arches to confuse things??

Heres a picture I've taken from the Minispeed site Size stated is Wheel Size: 10" X 5 J, Offset ET15[what does ET15 mean I wonder] is this acceptable? Picture in Minispeed Cat does not look as though they have used Sportpack arches.

I love the wheels we put on Toad.... There are ways to make most things fit properly and look good at the same time
We've had no problems with them what so ever, certainly no 'eaten up' ball joints or wheel bearings..... one guy who saw my mini last year has been racing them and restoring them since he owned a MK1 cooper back in the 60's, actually thought they were genuine cooper rims

I saw a mini running these at L2B, and the more I think about it, the more I think he had them spacered out as well. They certainly had more of an offset than ET15. The entire wheel cleared the wing!
If you want to know what ET15 means, there is an FAQ about wheel dimensions.
