right as the title suggests. the car failed on the rear brakes.
he (the mot tester)claims that the handbrake is fine, but the service brake is not existant.
so my thought is either the rear slaves, but one has come of a know working car (i broke the the nipple hence the change), so my thinking is the brake baised valve?
so its been up on the jack and when the brake is depressed the rear wheels still move.
reason for the post, just to make sure that i chasing up the right path.
and yes the brakes have been bleed.
so the question is am i right.
oh the car is a 90 reg with servo brakes.
i also assujme i can use a brake biased valve from an a reg car, they look the same; wrong i know but really need to get the car done and i dont know if its possible to free off the valve.
any ideas are welcome, especailly if i'm chasng up the wrong path

siezed wheel cylinders. Ive had them where only one piston was moving and others totaly locked solid.
Flexi hoses are a favourite as minidaves suggests

You say you've bled them but have you actually adjusted them correctly?

with out sounding rude, if the brake weren't adjusted correctly, then the handbrake would have also failed the mot, the tester actually said the handbrake was fine.
dave, thanks for the response, the rear hoses are braided and new, it all got changed with the rear subframe!!
could be the rear slave cylinders, but as i said, one of them came from a know working system.
thanks all
chris
