Only problem I can see is drilling the extra 2 holes either side for the coilover top mounts

They fit via the 4 standard bolts plus 2 extra at the top of the mount but its right up under the wing or working around the wiper motor one side and the brake master the other but then I'll be trying to drill from the wrong side to use the mount as a guide

EDIT just had a thought about those 90 degree right angle drill attachments - could be worth a try - only 4 holes after all

Todays progress...

15 holes to drill DONE
unbolt it all to remove subframe againDONE
prime & wait for primer to dryDONE
Paint & wait for paint to dry
Bolt upper coilover mounts in place
Fit coilovers
Fit brake discs and calipers
Fit wheels

Didnt get as much done as I wantted, bought one of those 90 degress drill attachments which then broke after 3 out of the 4 holes I needed it for so had to take it back, wait ages for a refund then go somewhere else and buy their version, why couldnt it break after 4 holes then I could have saved my money

May nip out later, if I don't go to the pub, and put some body colour paint on

Cheers

Ian

Didn't bolt upper coilover brackets in place as I decided to tidy them up and repaint them, paint is currently drying so will be in place tomorrow night - which is obviousley why the coilovers are fitted

Drive shafts cleaned up and fittedalong with the brake discs

Brake Calipers - Now here I have a small problem in that the threads in the hubs (force racing Ti ones) are metric and so 10mm where as the holes in my calipers are imperial and so just under 10mm so the bolts won't go thru'

Now do I enlarge the holes in my calipers (standard 8.4's) but then I cant sell them on when I get some alloy 4 pots / cooper S calipers to go under 10's, which I am going to ultimatley do. Basically cheap fix now which will cost me in the long run or another load of money now.

Still going to have to enlarge the new caliper holes whenever I get them anyway.

So until I make up my mind I'm a bit stuck on getting it back on 4 wheels so will concentrate on painting the engine etc. Going to ring a few places tomorrow and place some orders

Decisions to make

Cheers

Ian

They were brand spanking new when fitted so still have the gold (zinc?) finish to them - I know what you mean thou only standard calipers after all

Easier said than done, money.

I need to investigate which calipers will fit under 10" Dunlop D1's only ones I know will fit are cooper S ones but would really like some 4 pots due to the power that they are going to have to rein in. Plus they are lighter :)

ERA turbo caliper bolts is what you need is it not?

i think it has a metric shank and an imperial thread: http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=35377

Have you had a play with the single pot 7.5's? I'm running them with Mintex uprated pads (Think there M144 or something) on standard discs, and there awsome power.

Cars looking good by the way man, should be a flying machine when its done!

Cheers for the comments Tom, My mate used to have 7.5's and he thought that when he went to 8.4's they were better, which confuses me a little
