Does anyone know anything about the D16Z6 honda lump? i read somewhere that its a VTEC system?? cant anyone enlighten me?

Umm, don't think the Z6 is the VTEC. I've got a D16A6 lump sat in my garage, which is essentially the same engine, only 16v SOHC. AFAIK, the Z6 is DOHC twin cam, but non-VTEC.

just seen one on e-blag for next to nothing and it sed it was a VTEC, but it didnt seem right i thought that the VTES systems only came on the B-series engines?? correct me if im wrong...

you want to sell your A6??

The Vtec systems came on a variety of engines. Wikipedia is good for listing those which have the Vtec system. Saying that, even without the Vtec system, the D and B series Honda engines are very good engines!

wouldnt mind samplin the delights of the vtec system as im thinkin about investing in one myself. either that or a small bore 1071 if i can find one!!!! can anyone describe to me whats the vtecs like overall?
