has anybody ever repaired their mk3 door hinges as opposed to shelling out £100 for a genuine set, or £50 for a non genuine set? as far as i can see, there should be not problems in drilling out the broken studs and welding into place some new ones of the same size. does anybody have any views on this, i cannot find anything about it on the net, surprising considering the price of new ones! I would have thought it might have been more common...
