hey, went to drag wars on saturday and it was the first time the car had been running for a long peroid of time, didnt do any runs but had a tootle round the pits! only trouble was that when ticking over the oil pressure on the digidash would drop to around 5, but then when the engine was further up the revs oil pressure would increase to around the 60 mark. is this normal?? anyone else with an r1 and digidash getting similar readings?

yeah mine drops to 8 psi when hot idleing

Yes, if you look at the engine specifications for the R1 this is perfectly normal and mine is the same. No worries.

by the way, why didnt you do any runs??

thanks for the replies will have to re set the warnings for the digi dash to stop the OPA coming up when the pressure drops! well, we'd only finished roughly bolting everything together on the morning, so we didnt have any harnesses, and the brakes still have some air in somewhere! got to try and get it MOT'd and then get some runs in at mini in the park! did any of you go on sunday? saw a white z cars do a run, and there was another in the pits, then the huddersfield car came a bit later on.

mini in the park is at santa pod this year?? so hopefully will be able to take it down the drag strip
