how hard is it to stick a1.3 metro an gearbox into a mini then, because my mini has an ESU wouldnt that make the transplant hard??

I think you'll find a 1.3 metro engine will be exactly the same as the one you already have..
what the above are suggesting is replacing the A series engine with an alternate K series engine which is totally different... (and will be 1.1, 1.4 or bigger) you'll need a bespoke subframe and all the wiring ECU etc from the metro...

got with a 1.4/1.6 8v vauxhall lump , do the whole conversion on a budget for 2.5k .... 5 speeed box , 100bhp std , fuel injected ....
