i think this is the best place to ask as most people with z cars have plastic windows...
basically i want fixed rear windows. i am going to make them from plastic because its cheaper but i only have opening rears and need a template or something to use to mark them on the plastic
what have people used for a template? is a glass window the only option?
also what plastic should you use?
cheers

Probably best to use poly carbonate rather than perspex as it is a lot more scratch resistant. You should be able to do the windows for £50-60 I think.
I got a big sheet of polycarbonate for making the top part of my engine bulkhead but havent used it yet.

trace the opening onto cardboard then add the amount of the lip at the opening, aprox. 1/4", 3/8", or 1/2", what ever is needed. then just screw them onto car...

never thought of doing it like that, i was going to use a rubber seal. straight onto the car would be easier but how water tight would it be?

Sorry to hi jack but how do you attach the windows to the body? is it just a case of screwing/riveting them?

Yes, add sealer around edge and screw them on. use screws so you can remove at some time later for what ever..
