I dont think it was ment to " TOLD" you ,just to inform. They have been DO'ING not just talking and B.S.'ing .Braking is a much bigger part of these type cars than most people realise...

As Chris has touched on; 13" wheels will give you more contact surface on the tyre to transfer the braking through, an extra inch circumference is a LOT of braking surface when you stick it on the outside of the disc, plus you can then push the caliper pistons further out away from the hub, giving you much better braking leverage which will dramatically improve braking.

Put it another way, the bigger brakes and wheels add a fair amount of weight to somewhere you don't want it, the unsprung mass. Considering Chris tries to get these cars as light as possible, with the best handling around, if he sacrifices this by using big wheels and brakes, there has got to be a jolly good reason! :shifty:

What is this Mini Minus never heard of it, looks slightly bigger?

Bigger? :shifty:

This is a picture of mine next to a very low pickup :D I'll see if i can find a pic of it with some normal minis. for comparison.

Next pic as promised. Minus in amoungst normal minis.............. can you tell the difference yet? ^_^

And I too am a firm believer that you can never have "too much" when it comes to brakes!! :ermm:

And also I can second from experience that you MUST absolutley NOT go for a demo in a z-cars mini unless you are about to buy one!!! I went with Pete who came with me to "just have a look" he practically had his chequebook in hand on the way back from the demo run :- :) :P
