i dout its over heating becasue the amp would go in to protection mod and its not its is just switching off
i am worried it mite be the amps isn't powerfull enough but it won't be easy to work out if that is the problem

its jsut an idea but maybe there is a loose conection in the amp, so when you get a big bassy bit the conection is lost

you can get this same problem in factory OEM fitted head units at high volume on larger speakers

as there isnt enough power running to the amplifier to power the speakers it can make the amp trip and cut out for only say a second or two, i see it alot, especially in vauxhalls

i found the amp is going in to protechtion. so im not sure if it is pre-amp voltage or if its the amp isn't powerful enough.
