Parked p Saturday evening away from everyone just to return to find a great big 4x4 parked up beside me. Thye had raterh kindly dinged m passenger door. You can perhaps imagine my delight.

Does anyone know how to get these little dings out or suggest a company. I was thinking "chips away"?

It really is bugging me. >:xxx:

Im not sure if they do it but one company i've come across can remove the dent without repainting. So long as the paint is not damaged. They used to charge a set price for one panel to so no matter how many dings its the same price. I will try to hunt out there name and number. :xxx:

Spray a pool of hairspray on the ding, then heat hairspray with a hairdryer.

Interesting what is the principle behind the hairspray? I take it it won't effect the paint work?

jammy's way was to spray the hairspray on before heating so maybe its a different way! but the co2 and hairdryer way is the only way i've heard before!

theres also some little stick you can buy that you melt onto the ding with a hairdrier... then you pull the stick when its stuck on, to pull out the dent, then just heat it again to get it off

No need to melt it on I have hairspray all over the door now so the little stick will stick on quite easily!

So the question is this now.....

Does anyone know how to get hairsparay off the paintwortk?!!! :( :)

Urm... T-cut! that solves everything!

I like this idea, i have a dent in my passenger door that is quite annoying. I might try this and let you know how it goes.

where do you get the co2 spary from?

by the way found out this only works on plastic wings etc used on renault and such like, metal needs tapping out and creases and lines will have stretched the metal and wont come out!
