could do with a new alternator im pretty sure mines knacked and its only the standard one anyway,

i need the cheapest one to be a straight swap or easy conversion and the most powerfull.

it needs to run:

all the standard stuff
headunit
2 amps
1 sub
6 speakers
8 light tubes
Klaxon horn

Does a rover metro one fit because i think some of thouse are 100A!

It could be helpful if anyone has experimented with other makes and madels of alternators to mention details of them (part #s perhaps)
I'm currently looking at replacing mine for a higher output but don't know which one to get.
It's hard to find mini parts in Venezuela, so direct fit suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

i recondition them, to be honest a lot of the problems is down to bad connections rather than anything else..
you dont need to bang on the biggest one that'll fit - that puts excessive load on the engine pully (that is only held together with rubber!)
