It was soooooooo muddy it was mad! Minis sliding around everywhere

I'm so glad that I didn't trust my brakes enough to take the Elf. Also didn't go to the Clio Barbecue and ended up at a VW show with my son in Southsea which ended early due to the rain. What a summer for car shows!!!!!

Got to Santa pod at 7.30 to find that the entire parking ground for clubs and most other cars was a pit of deep mud, cars getting stuck everywhere. Got the club stand set up with 11 members cars (what a mission). Finally got around to looking round the place.

I was really miffed that i had no money and couldn't really bring the kids as the wife is about to drop, but from the look of the weather, i'm glad i didn't go!!!!!

I'm writing a letter to the magazines as im very dissapointed with the level of weather at this years shows.

I am so glad that we decided to take the 4x4 pick up. We needed to get a full interior (seats etc..) and could not believe the state of the ground!! Last time I went to Santa Pod the organisers put all the traders on the concrete area behind the stands upto the finishing time display along with several owners club stands. Why did they not do this today??? Anyone know??
P.S. my sympathy to the guy who lost control at the end of the morning session and went backwards into the wall!! OUCH!

Was a bit of a mud fest but a pretty good show, managed to get a fibre glass clubby front then had fun cramming it into the back of the renault 5!! Also got some metro vented discs! Nice!!

I thought it was brilliant, the mud only added to the fun. The noise of the jet car was amazing! It was my first MITP but I'm definitly going next year.
