Ok, been on here a while, i guess i should put up a project topic on here as its got to be done before end of may!!

Heres my new short engine and gearbox (should be together by the time you read this!)

spec of the engine is as follows:

1275MG Metro Block
12G940 MG Head
SW5 Camshaft
240lb Double Valve Springs (overkill i know)
Lightweight VERTO flywheel (lightened by Simon of MSPD)
Centre oil pick up

this spec is just for the next month while i bed it in, then a MSPD bespoke head will be added.

my new heavy duty adjustable tie rods

i have some 1.5:1 roller rockers, 2 core radiator and other bits like rose jointed bottom arms on order

stay tuned folks, its been kicked into override now, MUST GET ON!

stainless RC40 exhaust to be fitted, i expect upwards of 80 at the wheels, flappys 1275 without cam (bespoke race head) managed to muster 74bhp @ wheels

sounds ace. its better not to get rose jointed items as they ware quicker

i bought this today, to replace my stupid twin DTM. i know its not an RC40 but theres a reason behind it, later on im going to have a skid plate welded to it, and stainless is a beggar to weld

right a question on cages, you know theres that mini shop that advertises in the back of both miniworld and mag that sells those bolt together cages for about 130 quid excl door bars + diagonals, does anyone know if theyre any good, if they are ill buy one asap, if not ill leave it and just get a safety devices rear race one.

Id get any roll cage that was FIA approved, wouldnt buy anything that is designed to save your life purely on peoples advice.

and will have more back pressure so you shall gain soem bottom end to what u used to have
