ok onto my third slave cylinder in just over a year,

whats the crack? just unlucky or could there be a deeper problem?

everytime the outer piston pops out of the cylinder and i have to replace the lot!!!!!!!!

ap bonded rally/race plate + ornage diaphragm...

+ std flywheel for now

Right, the outer cylinder (the metal plugy bit where the push rod/plunger sits) sits in a groove. So I would check the groove is all clean and clear. Either that or the clutch is allowing the plunger to over reach maybe.

Even if the piston pops out you can just refit it. (I suppose I am assuming it's not rolled off down the road).

It shouldn't be possible for it to pop out...Is there a return spring between the arm and cylinder and have you got the throw out stop adjusted correctly (the big nuts on the other end of the arm to the cylinder)?

when i replace the piston it needs bleeding and reset the arm, i do that then after a few presses of the clutch im back to square one again

pistons out and needs bleeding!

anythin else that can be wrong? worn clutch / diaphragm? only 7 months old

release bearing?

Have you got a throw out nut adjusted correctly at the end on the clutch plunger?

twas the clutch arm from which the ball end had fallen off!

just had that with mine! except nothing to do with the piston, just wouldnt disengage properly
