Yes I know being a Geordie i cant resist a bargain so just to let you know i bought four rattle cans at £1 each form the pound shop in gloss black.

Decided to spray my factory black arches and bumper on my mayfair, pain went on stayed on and looks well like gloss black! Laquered it to give it a bit protection from the elements.

Anyway just to let you know IMO the cheap cans seem ok for bumpers and arches! Oh did red oxide prime the bumpers (£1 a can) ut not the arches just rubbed down and sprayed. Only thing I did was make sure me shed was warm as found if it was cold it dried matt!

Most paints will be fine as long as the prep work on the surface before hand was good enough.

Yea when i was spraying my grill tasch it was blooming (going matt) so i got a hair dryer out and heated up the metal lol >_< it worked though :thumbsup:

Better bargain today.............600ml Gloss Black Trade rattle Can..........£2.99 So think will gloss me grill to match my wheel arches and bumpers!

poundshop primer was what i used for my mini, worked a treat, and for the price you cant really complain :) :D

I sprayed my bonnet with some paint i brought for 4 quid for 12 cans. came up fine, but i made sure i prepped it well first, then rubbed it down and gave it a few coats, looks the mutts nuts now tho!

Just bought 6 cans of matt black 600ml for £1.20 a can.

i used the same and i have to admit it went on 10 times better than the £10 a can halfords primer!! will be using poundland primer again!!
