I'm on the final stages of spraying my project - with good ol' rattle cans.

Now, because there's barely enough paint in one of the ones I'm using to do the entire roof, it's ended up looking a bit patchy. There are several coats of paint on there, but although the paint is on there smooth, it's pretty obvious where one coat ends and another starts.

Will polishing with G3 (or some other polish) even this out?

would need to see it to make a more informed decision but if there are a lot of layers of paint use 1200 or 1500 wet and dry with lots of soapy water to flatten the top surface out - be careful not to go through the paint to the primer - and then polish out with G3 and then G10 on a polishing mop or similar - again keep it wet so as to make sure you dont burn the paint.

I agree with the above comments really,... You really need to build up rattle can paint as it lays down so thin out the can.
