Yes, balance is very important too. unless specified they dont come balanced.

I had problems with the Jonspeed minis flywheel with balance, had to add weight to get it balanced as there isnt much left to remove it

What improvement do these make apart from weight saving?

well thats the whole idea of them, less weight there for less strain on the engine, so meaning the engine has more power to use for acceleration instead of using it to turn the standerd flywheel -

i think thats right - i appologise if it didtn make sense

That will be the complete set up, if you buy the flywheel on its own, it will not be balanced

that is true. No buying a flywheel and just balancing that is pointless n e way huh!

Lightened flywheels are so the engine will spin up quicker yes, aids acceleration. And because of the centrifugal force i remember seeing somewhere that every lb you get off the flywheel you save 100lbs at X rpm.

Makes a big difference. Mainly for engine pick up though, and steel to stop them from exploding through the clutch housing, bulkhead and then you... so often.

finally finished fittin,

fitting makes a great difference to the engine,

removed the std road steel flywheel from minispares and the pickup is greatly improved quite scary now too shall have proper drive and let you know how it goes the distance,

by the way idle is better than the old setup! crazy!
