i brought my mini clubman about 6 months ago, the speedo has never work since ive had it, i just thought it was the speedo cable so ive replaced it and ive tested my speedo which works fine. I do have a 1.3 MG Metro Engine, does anyone have any idea's?

can u turn the speedo cable when its in gear and in the gearbox?

I had this problem, turned out the interior of the speedo cable was too short and didn't come into contact with the right bit in the speedo. Or the bit in the speedo was too short and didn't come into contact with interior of the speedo cable. Think i changed the internals of the gauge in the end.
