:dontgetit:
following my adventures with fibreglass and resin... it was pointed out to me this morning that theres a bit blob of resin on my back bumper.....
for any normal mini it wouldnt be a problem with them having aluminium bumpers but i have a body kit.. and thus its been painted with normal car paint.

is there anyway of removing it?

^_^ any help would be extreamly apprechiated :(

depends how thick it is if its a thin blob it may peel off wit a blunt knife. otherwise youll probably have to sand t down and patch up paint work which i guess you dont really wana do

use quite a fine grade so you remove a small mount at a time i no its time consuming but when you get to the laquar serface clean with warm soapy water and dry it and feel for any inperfections. if there is any imperfections maybe a small can of laquar from halfords just to touch up but spray the whole of the bumper im no paint expert tho this is how did it we ni got some on my wheel.

hmm i may find it hard to match my paint
as it was a custom made colour.. with sparkles in the paint...

but i might be able to rub it down to the laquar

If the paint is shiney or, better still, waxed it may lift off

Like Ethel says, it might lift off if your paint is heavily waxed. Failing that, get a razor blade and VERY CAREFULLY shave bits off it until it's barely there, then rub the rest out with 1500 grade wet n dry, then polish with G3.
