Does anyone know if sand blasting the front hubs will damage the machined metal where the bearings are pressed?
Any views would be appreciated!

if you dont blast directlly onto the surface for the bearing race you should be OK

I'd mask off the areas you don't want to hit with some duct tape or something pretty wear resistant. In general, you don't want to hit anything that's been machined...

cover any machined surfaces really well with duc tape and cloth, and all will be well
