Hi Chaps,

I need your help.

My girlfriend has an H reg mini flame, it had a problem with the choke and heater cables. (and the dash bit was hanging off)

Anyway the cables were rectified. But she now has a problem with her lights.

The lights switch, does click down twice as normal. But only her side lights come on, full beam will not work unless it is pushed and held forward.

This is limiting her driving at night, and the mechanic is on holiday!!!

Im thinking it must be wired incorrectly when the dash was removed etc????!

Anything I can do??!

when you say full beam will only work when held down do you mean the light switch itself or the stalk on the steering column if its the light switch i would say switch is faulty (they are cr@p anyway)

Hi Busa,

Yes its the stalk. Sorry i wasnt clear. The full beam will only work when the stick is held forward.

Im thinking the switch was not put back in the centre console properly. (Even tho there no movement etc)

Would i get a new switch? is there directions on here for removing the centre console?

Thanks,

well as you've been playing with the cables id have said its not pushed on correctly..

have you tried just wiggling the wires on the back of the switch?

First is obviously check fuses.

If not that, pull the switch and check continuity on the contacts.

Do the headlights have a relay?
