Would love to do a hoodride styled mini
im thining a mini in colour of that last one it looks really good and kinda rattyish at same time, better than satin or matt black me thinks.,and hoodride have stencils for the hoodride and the rusts not a crime tags u see on lot the hoodride veicles, get some pinstripes down sides and on boot simular to Ne-matts and some other grapics, would look pretty cool. Interiour im unsure but seen some funky ideas on hoodride like a old hessian bag over the seats as a cover. looks cool

Not keen on the rat look at all, but it's up to you.

I personally quiet like it on dubs, however for me, i hate it when you can tell the rat look has tried to be achieved, i prefer a natural looking ratty look, much like the one in picture 3.

Not sure what it would look like in mini form, i suppose the only way to know is to do it!

Good luck.

Yeah I think the third one could work on a Mini, the other two just look like they're very badly looked after.

very hard to get naturaly one like it on a mini as everythin will just rot thru, panels arnt nearly as strong or thick as a veedub as we all know the rustbox's we love and hate wont survive a barn find and leaving alot the bodywork on

I mean for it to look natural, not actually natural (if that makes sense)

its hard to describe exactly what i mean. I dont like it when you see the rat look where people have sprayed primer in random spots, or just sanded a bit of the paintwork down.

In other words, i like them with fashion rust :D

i know what you mean, and me but v hard to do. Suppose just sand it down and leave some it exposed for while so does rust then treat what you can so it remains sort of solid lol.

But when i say hoodride style, dont mean has to have any rust, alot them just have oldskool themes and customisation to them but bodywork wise are mint or not far off (average mini owner rust)

have you lot not been to mini shows recently and looked around the car parks they are full of rotten mini's haha

i know what you mean though it is the 'in' thing at the moment and i do think its cool because it kind of sticks 2 fingers up at the purist's and concors cars but then i do like the totaly time warped mk1 850's and real origional cars too!

i like guessworks sleeper his black one!

yh it does *yellow human water* me off seein some the concors cars which are never drove and only there because there owners have spent stupid amounts on them just to look at. Defys the point of the car. And alot of the time those people have got specalists to do all the work and wouldnt wana touch a spanner unless it is required to get some autoglym sumwhere.

Two mates of mine were in the concers at sandon and did well. A yellow sprite and a orange clubby , the clubby is used daily, no matter what weather rain or shine, and snow lastyear...yet its imaculate.

There was a foreign one at MITP that had been done like that. Can't say I like it much. I've seen pictures of it somewhere but can't think where.

if i see the brown car on the street, i would be expecting to see a skin head driving it.

of course i'm being ignorant, but i'm guessing most people are too, with car subcultures.....and showing people new things is great....so do it! i vote in favor of it!

do you have any examples of a type 2 in hoodride form? :D

p.s. and make sure to do everything yourself! because thats the point of a rat rod.
