i like that rust effect - as long as it intentional (how does that work?)
would it be possible to create a rusty effect using a combination of orange, browns, silver, greens and maye using a paint with a grain in it???? Im sure the resprayer would have to be insanely talented aswell!

Alot of them is actualy just rust and bits or primer.

This is the one from MITP, it does look great. But as has been said, i think the hoodride and the rat look is something that should be reserved for 'dubs.

how about getting some iorn fillings and letting them go rusty then add them to paint in a laquer (sp!) Protects the panels but you have the genuine rust in there. just use it as a local effect by spraying it little areas.

Think it's a pretty cool look personally. Especially on Dubs. :mycool: Just not 100% for a Mini, not far off, mind.

I love it how people put the rat look on cars that suffer from tin worm the worst, haha. The rat style looks awsome on a beetle I recon, not so hot on minis and campers/buses'. Each to there own I suppose thou

Rat look is my fav atm...
I am half tempted to get a Mini purely to Rat it... but it'll be a proper rat/sleep... it'll look rough, but underneth the clubby front will be a 200bhp 8000rpm Screaming Honda engine....

the 'barn find' look is the best like you've just dragged it out but as dog says with a special motor! if your all show and no go your just the same as a concorse mini

i do like the rat look (but i prefure it on big v8 american street sleepers like 51 merc sleds) and the above mini has some charm but i think if you really wanted to pull it off, i would have to be done more on the subltle side, the paint job being more of a primer look than all rust - if you know what i mean
