If you already own the LCB I'd use it. don't think there's really that much to choose between it and a 3 branch.

does sound like a good reason to press on with modding it - then you can have a whole new buch of little niggles to iron out =]

Excuse me being bit thick but would the standard exhaust just bolt onto the Cooper Freeflow manifold ? Also I thought an LCB as part of a stage 1 kit was a standard performance upgrade for a 998?

You'd probably need a link pipe to join the Cooper Freeflow manifold to the rest of the exhaust, that's it it doesn't all fit together.

The LCB is generally recommended for 1275cc or above engined Minis, but yes you could probably get away with it on you're 998cc engine, although I don't know if it would have an adverse effect on the performance, or at least not work quite so well as what a Cooper Freeflow would.
