my dad used to refer to a work colleague as coloured Jim, wasnt until i met him i found he wasnt black but covered in tatoos, mostly fish as he was a keen fisherman.

a chap in our local mini club has a nice scar up his arm from a bike accident, and has had pins tatoo'd up it as if its holding his arm together

i have had my necked bolted C1-C2 vertabrae and have a giant scar down the back of my neck and one oon the top of my cocycx area and would love my neck to be tattoed to show it ripped open showing my two titanium rods and 9 screws but am only 17 so not old enough and would really hurt even tho my operation was in 2004!!! as my neck is really sensitive but it has always been an idea i may one day just go for it

I have finally created a design for my tattoo as i have now had my 18th Birthday which i would of never lived to see with out my operation, i got my tattoo to commerate my operation as with out it i wouldn't be me

i got it on my right shoulder/bicep and if you look at it from the side it is showing you my neck at the same angle so how your looking at my tattoo is what you'd see from looking at me in an X-ray. the Date 11-08-04 is when i had my operation at the age of 10. i had two titanium rods and 9 screws fusing my skull and C1-C2 vertebrae together and now have a scar running down the back of my head and slightly down my back so i had some people come up too me and say wow thats a big scar what happened? and when i was young it was always hard to understand and get my head around what had happened, so i usually would say i had an operation because my head was wrong. but it was the Atlas bone had not formed properly and would cause my head to catch my spinal chord causing me to have a Fit or seizure. but now i am all fine and the rods and screws are in me forever they will never come out.

It took two hours to finish the outline and basic skull shading it was my first tattoo so he see how i went with it (it didn't hurt only had little pinching feelings) i laughed most of it tickled where the jaw goes near to my armpit, i am going back on the 27th august and getting it finished off.

titanium is not magnetic and no i don't go off through airports ...(although ive never been abroad so it might do i was told it wouldn't though)

i told my story to the tattooist and they thought it was funny coincidence (same as most of my mates who had also said so when i first told them about my neck) what they found funny was that i am missing a bone in my neck..... they all would say I've found it look here it is and then write my name out "Ashley Bone" it didn't take long for this to get old.

Got my first 3hr session on my next tattoo on wednesday afternoon, can't ******* wait for it now!

Just had the rough sketch for it come through and i'm really pleased with it

i've had mine shaded in now, boy did that hurt i still have one more sitting left for more detail on the teeth and bolts area, but it looks amazing very cool first tattoo IMO !! who said pain never got you anything

mine so far, about 12 hours ish into it, should be all finished off on the next sitting. Not booked till middle of jan though but might try and get a cancellation in december depending on overtime and stuff at work :)

in the chair for 4.5 hours again today, had some colour added to my right arm and got the outline done for the the main piece of my left half sleeve. More outlining on the next session in a months time for the rest of the sleeve, can't wait to see this one finished :)
